Recording birdsong

I would like to record birdsong, but have got a bit confused by the plethora of options for the types of equipment available, and would be grateful for any advice.

Budget: max £200

Technical & IT skills; poor!

Objective: record garden & woodland birdsong - for pleasure of listening, as well as simple aid to identification;

Options:

Birdmike etc;

Olympus LS-5;

HD recorder plus mike (e.g. Rode videomike)

Any thoughts on best type of kit - would like to be able to exclude wind-noise.
