We live in Scotland and have a number of bird visiting the feeders. I looked out today and saw this bird in the garden. I did not know what it was so grabbed the camera and took this quick shot before it flew off. Not a great image but I had to take it out of a window. It was about the size of a goldfinch perhaps a bit bigger, sizing not helped by it fluffing up. Can anyone tell me what it was? The colour on the wing was yellow.  |

Not chaffinch only colour on wing was the bit of yellow. The chest colour is showing more pink in the photo than the actual colour of the bird. I did get a quick look at it from behid. We get loads of chaffinchs. |
