Mortimer Forest (Near Ludlow) - What Bird Can I Expect To See At This Time Of Year?

Hey Everyone

I am thinking of going to Mortimer Forest in Shropshire next weekend on the trail of 'long haired fallow deer' - however my friend who I am going with is only interested in birds. I am wondering what type of birds you could expect to see at this time of year within the forest?

I don't know the area too well as I've not been birding round there, but it might be worth phoning SOS! (Shropshire Orinithological Society), as they're bound to know. Here's their website:

I live in Shropshire, not sure what you will see at this time of the year but Mortimer forest is beautiful, hope you enjoy your visit
