| | | Birds singing early Having only been properly interested in birds for a few years, i still have much to learn. Something i'm noticing this year is the emergence of bird song, and when it is happening.
Over the past few weeks, great tits and blue tits have been singing a bit more loudly, as well as Dunnocks. Others such as wren and robin have been singing all the time as usual.
Last night i was biking home at about 2am, and heard my first Song Thrush song of the year, it was quite quiet, nothing on the level of their song later on in spring, but it was definately a song thrush (blackbirds can't be far off!)
also while at attenbroough yesterday i kept hearing a woodpecker drumming, is it normal for this at this time of year???
