| | | Inland cormorant?
I was walking the dogs by the river Carey this morning (North Devon about 20 miles from the sea at Bude) when I saw what at first looked like a heron flying low over the water. However, it was black and had its neck extended forward. Was it a cormorant? Thanks |

| | | Re: Inland cormorant? There used to be a small group I wont say colony on the River Severn up Colemore Green, Linley Bridge area cant get more inland than that
They used to hang around in a large dead tree on the river bank. This was a few years ago mind you.

| | | Re: Inland cormorant? There's regularly around 40+ at Staines Reservoir/King George Reservoir (next to Heathrow Airport), also one of my local patches in Greater London has a similar number. Most times I go to a lake or nature reserve anywhere I usually see at least one. |
