Hey guys,
I was on my cliffs earlier watching the birds when i came across what i thought was the kestrel that lives around these cliffs, when it flew towards me though, it had a hint of blue on it. So i'm not sure wether it's a buzzard, Merlin or Sparrowhawk, can anyone help me out? 
Also here is the peregrine I spotted for the first time - very chuffed   |

I would say Kestrel. |

Look at the face pattern. It's a Kestrel. |

looks like an american kestral to me first though twas a hobby but im still going with AK

What is an American Kestrel doing in Cornwall? I'll find another image for you guys to look at |

Male Kestrel, Falco tinnunculus for me.

It is a male Common Kestrel (the kestrel species that we typically get in the UK).
The chestnut back, and the head pattern, show that it is not a Merlin or Sparrowhawk. Adult male Kestrels do have a blue-grey head (+ rump and tail). | | | |
