Belligerent Moorhens
I went to the London Wetland Centre yesterday.

I saw a few moorhens having a scuffle where one individual was being chased by two other moorhens. On closer inspection the 'chasers' didn't have the red face shield, am I right in thinking this is a juvenile? I am pretty certain they were having a go at an adult perhaps trying to assert dominance?

Yes this is a 1st winter bird, probably from a late brood.
