| | | I feel used Well I know I'm not revealing anything new but it makes me feel better to share it
So bottom line is before the snow I had the odd visiter to my yard, a blackbird, a couple of sparrows. Then after just one day of snow WOW the yard was packed from first light till last, robins, long tailed tits, wagtail, starlings and lots more. Great to just sit here watching them all go about their business and providing a photo opportunity or two. Well to my greatest disappointment after one day of a slight loss of snow and the numbers crashed to a few visits throughout the day and now the snow has all washed away it just me, the blackbird and the sparrows again.
Do you think a fake snow machine might just do the trick

Stephen | I'll bet your faithful blackbird and sparrows are glad that the invasion is over and that they can again enjoy your benevolence in peace. |

| | | Re: I feel used Our life is just for the benefit of the birds. They can be such unfathful creatures. We feed them all the time and in the really cold snaps they are soooooo grateful. Then as it warms up they dissappear without even a 'thank you'. Off to pastures new.
But, would we change anything? Would we get really annoyed and refuse to feed them in the future? I don't think so.
So let's just enjoy it whilst they want our company.
You know it makes sense,
