| | | Tailless Long Tailed Tit (Iceing problem) Watching the window feeder at my B in Ls for a greater Spotted woodpecker that would arrive with a thump, I noticed a tailless LTT this reminded me I have always been told that they lose their tails when they become frozen to the branches or twigs of their sleeping roost.
I have seen tailless LTT before (always during or after severely icy weather)
Is there any documentry evidence for this happening? or even photos?
