| | | What Bird Whistles? My dad has told me that the past two late evenings/nights (8pm-ish) he has walked to the railway station to go to work he has heard a bird whistling.
He at first thought it was just a kid, but said it went on too long.
He described it as a "long, high-pitched, single note that was made irregularly."
I thought a thrush, or maybe owl (don't think any 'whistle' though), as he has only heard it in the dark, but thought it may have been someones cage-bird.
Any ideas?
There are large Sycamores with ivy on them and many berry trees in the area if that helps at all? |

A Robin regularly sings from a perch above a street light on my route home from the pub at about 11:30pm. His song seems to be more pronounced and melodic at this late hour. I usually stand beneath the tree and tell him to get to bed but he just ignores me and carries on.
Hope he survives the cold weather as I haven't heard him for a couple of weeks!
