| | | Re: must be hungry times Cornwall is not completely snow free. We have some still lying from yesterday and its falling again now!
We had some snipe/woodcock fly over quite low this morning. I think they are struggling to find much with the frozen ground.

| | | Re: must be hungry times No too far away - just outside Roche. It may be on its way to you, as Easterly wind has picked up now. Since I went out to give our animals their last lot of hay, about half an hour ago, our path is now covered again!

| | | Re: must be hungry times You're right about the short distances making so much difference. We've been looking at the temps in the car today - 4 degrees difference between here and St Austell. You can see them dropping off the closer you get to home. But then last week, hubby works in Truro and they had a white-out down there, and we had a beautiful sunny day, so its very hit and miss.
We use the Camel trail quite a bit - son loves cycling. Not so keen on the lower Wadebridge/Padstow side (often too busy), prefer the upper end. Often join at Grogley and either go down to WadeB or up to Bodmin. |

| | | Re: must be hungry times similarly i saw a group of redshank feeding within a few metres of the busy slalom course at the local watersports centre yesterday, they didnt seem that bothered by all the people, dogs and boats! hungry times indeed.
