| | | apple preperation Is there anything you need to do to intise a blackbird or anyother bird to eat apples. i have throw one in my garden for the blackbird thats a regular visitor atm, but not even the squirells have touched it.

| | | Re: apple preperation Another variety perhaps? I find the slightly more over-ripe apples are eaten by the birds. You could try hanging an apple back on the tree !  Maybe that would entice them. Cheers, Tony. |

| | | Re: apple preperation You can take a wire coat hanger, cut it so that it is one long length of wire with a hook and the top and then twist the metal into a spiral shape with an up turn at the bottom. Then you can thread apples onto this and hang it on a tree for the birds to peck at. |
