| | | White-tailed Eagle footage If you pop across to the Sussex Ornithological Society's website there's a short video of this superb predator being mobbed by crows. What a sight that must have been. What a huge bird.

| | | Re: White-tailed Eagle footage Thanks for the link. Magnificent bird.
I always find it hard to get to grips with the sheer size of them. It looks like a buzzard being mobbed by starlings.
There's been a couple of sightings of a juvenile White-tailed eagle in Hampshire today - Hayling Island and Titchfield Haven - heading west. Presumably the same bird? |

| | | Re: White-tailed Eagle footage It was the same bird. It took off at lunchtime and came back via Arundle before settling back at the wild brooks to roost.
I saw it flying, mobbed by crows and flanked by a pair of buzzards which seemed small in comparison. |

| | | Re: White-tailed Eagle footage Apparently it hasn't come back to the wildbrooks after all and the message saying it did has been removed.
And yes, I was chuffed to bits to see it. When I got there this morning I knew I had found the right spot when I saw a group gathered looking over the wildbrooks and I asked out of the car window if they had seen anything only to be told that they hadn't. I then parked next to them, got out of the car, and there is was flying! If I had driven up to the next viewing area I would have missed it. How lucky am I. And I nearly didn't go today because I had to go out to a family lunch but figured I could just squeeze it in this morning.
