| | | What a difference a rise in temperature makes! Today we got up to the giddy heights of 3c and what a difference in how much food the birds were eating from my feeders. Not so much the hanging ones but the one on the wall which is used by the numerous ground feeders that come in when the weather is bad. For the last two weeks I've had to fill it up by mid afternoon but today it was only half eaten.
We're forecast a bit of a thaw for the next 3 or 4 days so I'm going to take the opportunity to give everything a good scrub and sterilisation, including the wall itself. I normally do it regularly but with it being sooo cold it has seemed more important to keep the feeders topped up continuously. |
