I like the comment about finding one in a junk shop in the article:
"If you ever see a copy of Audubon's Birds of America lying round a junk shop, you should consider buying it"
I suppose that it's an easily overlooked book that might be tucked away in the corner of a junk shop somewhere...

If you know of a good copy going for 3 million, you probably need to try and find some funding - you may be on to a nice little earner!

Acipiter, Your wish is Amazons command. They have it at anything from £110 for what I presume is a full size hardcover copy down to £6.99 for one at a more manageable size.
