| | | Crickets for food Every couple of weeks I collect a box of live crickets for my lizards. This week the delivery was delayed by the royal mail, and most of the crickets have died from the cold overnight. I was about to throw them out, but then thought the garden birds might eat them, what do you think? |

More of a natural source of food
I thought about going to the reptile shop for some live mealworms for the birds... I'd imagine they'd enjoy them more than the dried ones...

Would probably just put a few out every now and then and hope that the birds have been before they crawl out
If I put them in the little birdhouse we have they will probably stay put since they have photoreceptors which helps them in seeking shade to avoid being eaten
...Unfortunately for them in that case the system will fail
