Starling roost
A wildlife first for us tonight - saw what must have been thousands of starlings going to roost. We've tried to see them several times, but finally timed it right tonight.

We went to Par Beach, (South coast of Cornwall) near the nature reserve/duck pond. Arrived about 4.00pm, and there were loads of people already waiting, with bins and cameras. Suddenly they started, and we were thrilled to 20 minutes of entertainment! Never seen it "in the flesh" before, and we were really amazed - even our 10 year old son, who is not quite as into wildlife as we are, was transfixed.

Sadly not, didn't actually plan to go tonight, but when we realised we were passing by around the right time, we called in. Planning to go back again, and try to get some pics, but don't have the best quality camera!
