| | | White Goldfinch My dad saw this fella on the feeders this morning and told me about it. I popped round a few hours ago and it came back so i managed to take a few shots through the window.
I've seen a few leucistic crows before but never an all white finch. Actually the gold wing markings are still there but that's about all.
Anyone know how common these are?
(sorry for the bad chop on the last pic, they weren't great pics to begin with)

| | | Re: White Goldfinch Not common, although I did see a white headed goldfinch on Christmas Day two years ago. I did get a pic and posted it on here, unfortunatley it would appear that all old pics have been purged!
Good spot though!

| | | Re: White Goldfinch I had the same thought as Faz, I can't help but think once the snow has gone he is going to stand out for Sparrow hawks etc. Lovely picture though. |

| | | Re: White Goldfinch Hey Reptilian,
Great find, that really is very white. By pure chance I'm sitting processing a few images from recent trips and have this one -
It's been around for a few days before the snow, interesting to see how long he lasts
