White Goldfinch

[Reptilian]

My dad saw this fella on the feeders this morning and told me about it. I popped round a few hours ago and it came back so i managed to take a few shots through the window.

I've seen a few leucistic crows before but never an all white finch. Actually the gold wing markings are still there but that's about all.

Anyone know how common these are?

Not common, although I did see a white headed goldfinch on Christmas Day two years ago. I did get a pic and posted it on here, unfortunatley it would appear that all old pics have been purged!
Good spot though!

I had the same thought as Faz, I can't help but think once the snow has gone he is going to stand out for Sparrow hawks etc. Lovely picture though.

Perhaps, but it has obviously eluded them for at least several months when there wasn't any snow!

i never mentioned snow lol

but the white wont help it now even in snow most BOP,S work on sight same as budiges and cockatials , zebra finches etc will all get nailed sooner or later
