Nest box Advice

I know nest boxes should be the last thing on our minds at the moment but this is the time of year i make mine and repair old ones, Last year i copied my neighbour and made the mistake of building a Sparrow colony and mounting it near my "Bluetit" box which has been quite fruitful for a number of years but last year nothing, and my neighbour experienced the same but he ended up with a wasps nest in his due to the absence of the Tit's! Is this common do "Bluetits" not like "Sparrows" as neighbours or is it just any bird in close proximity they dont like???????????

yes think you should relocate your sparrow terrace, but blue tits have been known to make nests in terraces, did you get sparrows in? i had blue tits building this year only for bumble bees to move in ! so ive put a new box in another part of the garden, it can be frustrating, but its nature. rossy.

I had succcess with the terrace but only the middle section, I moved it round the corner last week and i noticed on the bluetit box the hole was opened out a bit so i have srewed an 1" washer on the front of the hole to stop sparrows comandering that box as well!
