| | | Re: Peregrine in Leeds City Center Hi Bell
I am a new member and wanted to confirm the Peregrine spot. I know that there have been previous postings on WOB about Leeds Peregrines and poss a breeding pair.
On monday this week both my hubbie and I saw a great piece of action outside the Light with not only a large Peregrine chasing the pidges but also a Sparrowhawk in the air as well. I think the sparrow had put up the pidges first and the Peregrine was trying to muscle in !!!! BRILL dead sure about it.
Also if any one loves Waxwings we had a gang of 50ish in chapel allerton on Weds around 10am this week again only stayed for a while as guess who came only on patrol Sparrowhawk .
Would love to take by binnies into town next time but worried I might look a bit daft ! |

| | | Re: Peregrine in Leeds City Center welcome northleedsbirder, i take mine into the town and dont give a monkeys, most people will ask what am i looking at , but most know now, and i always let them have a look, watched one today go up and then it went into a stoop, the speed is awesome , next thing pigeons scatterd, and it didnt appear , so im presuming it had one,as it was out of my view , rossy. |

| | | Re: Peregrine in Leeds City Center The German Christmas Market was at the Millennium Square today, so it was rather more pedestrianized than usual.
Managed to stay for about an hour, watching the sky's and all the Nook and Crannies on the taller buildings, before Frostbite set in and we set off home, without seeing any Peregrines. 8-( |

Would have been picture perfect today in the snow.
