| | Is this an egyptian goose ? Well as the title says is it an egyptian goose ?
Was out practicing at getting better shots when a pair of these birds wandered up.Wearing the realtree fishing jacket ive had for years made a big difference. The camoflage does seem to work or it makes me look less of a threat.
Not quite sure why the uploaded image isnt as sharp as the one on my pc. I had to resize it after the first upload failed so perhaps thats the reason ?
Thanks for looking. |

| | | Re: Is this an egyptian goose ? The very same.
It was the bird that got me into amateur wildlife photography!
These are the first 2 pics I ever took of them (on my old camera), earlier this year. Hence the inexperienced, poor quality.

| | | Re: Is this an egyptian goose ? I photographed a couple in our local park in SW LOndon yesterday. They don't seem to be bothered by people, that or they might be slightly daft |

| | | Re: Is this an egyptian goose ? Yup definately an Egyptian Goose, distinctive colours, especially the red around the eye.
Most birds I have come across are quite tame and will allow you to get quite close for some cracking shots!
