Is this an egyptian goose ?

Well as the title says is it an egyptian goose ?

Was out practicing at getting better shots when a pair of these birds wandered up.Wearing the realtree fishing jacket ive had for years made a big difference.The camoflage does seem to work or it makes me look less of a threat.

Not quite sure why the uploaded image isnt as sharp as the one on my pc. I had to resize it after the first upload failed so perhaps thats the reason ?

I saw that pic and thought it might be one but wasnt 100% sure.At the time i didnt even pick up that it might be something a bit different locally as i was so engrossed in my photography technique !

The very same.
It was the bird that got me into amateur wildlife photography!
These are the first 2 pics I ever took of them (on my old camera), earlier this year. Hence the inexperienced, poor quality.

I photographed a couple in our local park in SW LOndon yesterday. They don't seem to be bothered by people, that or they might be slightly daft

Yup definately an Egyptian Goose, distinctive colours, especially the red around the eye.

Most birds I have come across are quite tame and will allow you to get quite close for some cracking shots!
