| | | Is this a Sparrowhawk I have a few heart and niger feeders (costing me a small fortune) and have very regular visits from large flocks of green/gold finches and numerous tits.
For quite a few weekends I've been very delighted to see the following bird - I think it's a male sparrowhawk. Please can anyone confirm.
It has visited at least twice today.

Yes I did take the pics through the kitchen window.
I tried earlier to open the window for a better shot, but spooked it.
It returned about 1 hour later and I got the pictures, above.
Last week, it swooped over the house and pursued the finches over the fence. A wonderful sight. |
