| | | Re: Starlings at Gretna It is on the M6 motorway on the main route between Scotland and England so there will be quite a few thousand people travelling up and down that road every day, not really in the wilderness is it??? As for no explination, I did write this... "Has anyone got any idea how things are building up there? Its about 40 miles from me and I want to photograph it. Be nice to have an idea how things are before I go. Hope someone can help, thanks." does that not explain things???? Perhaps its me thats stupid lol |

| | | Re: Starlings at Gretna Yeah, that's a sight! I've seen it a few times and it never fails to lift me. Once a good few years ago when I was doing farm work, it happened right on top of me as I was taking a fag break before heading back to the steading and the sheer noise was unbelievable. I sat there among the hawthorns and I could actually feel my pulse quickening. Awesome, in the proper sense of the word.

| | | Re: Starlings at Gretna Does anyone know where the Gretna Starlings have moved too?
I've been to the usual roost site twice in the last month but they are no longer there.
Checked down towards Longtown but they're not that way.
I got some great shots in November but love to see them perform, if anyone has information I'd appreciate a heads up.
Thanks
