star bird!

hi , not been on WAB for ages but after what i saw on saturday flying and calling over walsall town centre i decided to tell you all what i saw! i was going for a bus when i heard a bird of prey calling and knew it wasnt a kestrel,sparrowhawk or buzzard so looked up and saw a superb peregrine falcon ! it was amazing ! i watched it til the bus came and by then it was perched on top of the tower of the town hall . brilliant!

there has been one round rye meads rspb we were told yesterday , but hey did it come out for us ...

Is this part of the pair nesting on the tower on the town hall. I have been hearing the chics and I finally saw one of the pair fly off and start looking for food this evening on my way home. I thought it was a sparrow hawk but it did look a fair size, I'll try and get some snaps but from the ground, although you can only normally hear them and see a few twigs sticking out over the side.

hi , i havent seen the peregrines for a long time now but after reading your reply i guess they must be still around . i`ll have another look next time i`m in town . i did hear they nested on the tower of the town hall in the past .sue
