| | | star bird! hi , not been on WAB for ages but after what i saw on saturday flying and calling over walsall town centre i decided to tell you all what i saw! i was going for a bus when i heard a bird of prey calling and knew it wasnt a kestrel,sparrowhawk or buzzard so looked up and saw a superb peregrine falcon ! it was amazing ! i watched it til the bus came and by then it was perched on top of the tower of the town hall . brilliant! |

| | Re: star bird! Is this part of the pair nesting on the tower on the town hall. I have been hearing the chics and I finally saw one of the pair fly off and start looking for food this evening on my way home. I thought it was a sparrow hawk but it did look a fair size, I'll try and get some snaps but from the ground, although you can only normally hear them and see a few twigs sticking out over the side. |
