| | | david vrs goliath just at the sink yesterday looking upon the avary, as it were, when nothing out of the ordinary, a wood pigeon was perching on the concrete washing post .
Anyway just admiring the WP when all of a sudden a robin came from the left hand side of the garden and attempted to peck at him...the robin only did it once. The wood pigeon didnt looked at all fazed by the sudden unprovocked attack, a few seconds later the pigeon flew down to the ground for a feed.
It made me laugh what the robin did  ...the post is the robins perching place alot in the garden and i take it he didnt like the pigeon being there.
It was great to see that territorial display ( if that what it was) .
Also on the subject of' keep out my lot'... why does the robin chase off the chaffinch most times in my garden more than other birds. |
