| | | Food for Green Woodpeckers Good morning people, I am looking to attract Green Woodpeckers to a feeding station I have in a wood. I know there is several birds here, but cant find any info on food that attracts them. Can anyone who has any experience of them taking food they have put out please help. I would be so grateful for any help, thanks. |

| | | Re: Food for Green Woodpeckers According to my BirdGuides CDrom:
Food - Mainly ants but also other insects, worms, snails and fruit.
We occasionally see one on the lawn, digging for ants, I think. |

We get regular visits from blue and great tits, robins and nuthatches
One feeder is just outside the kitchen window - I call the birds when I take out a supply in the morning, and one or two are often there before I'm back in the kitchen! |
