| | | Starling attraction. I popped out this morning and put some fat pellets in the window feeder and a little dish that hangs from my washing line. I went back inside to watch as I had not seen much about first thing. Then around 10 starlings swooped down! Fighting to all get on my window feeder and dangling off the dish. Within the same moment other birds appeared from nowhere! A Dunnock flew to the ground quickly pecking up the mess the starlings where making in the squabble. Followed by three Blue tits who sat in the honeysuckle hoping in and out of the dish, the Robin arrived and joined the Dunnock on the ground. Then three Wood pigeons swooped in followed by a Magpie! The starlings flew off shortly followed by the other birds. It was all over in a matter of minutes but I was amazed at how quick the other birds followed in behind the Starlings. I have noticed this on other occasions in my garden. Amazing, they seem to attract the other birds due to that mess they make I expect.

The starlings just visit the window box.
