Pretty much all my birds disappeared.

Hello,

Any of you experienced this? This should really be a prime time for birds on feeders but mine were much more active in the summer, I get the odd Blue tit and the odd Robin or Sparrow but pretty much all my finches have gone. More or less becasue of migration so hopefully I can attract to migrant birds over to my feeders, anyone else the same?

I think there's still a decent amount of food around, so they won't be relying on gardens as much just yet.

With the Finches, I guess some may have migrated, others have probably taken advantage to everything falling off the trees.

Chaffinches are now back daily.Goldfinches several times this week.Greenfinch now and then but will be back daily soon.

my lady friend chaffinch has been a regular visitor the last few days....
no sign of the goldfinch that attended the garden for 3 days in a row,
a while back.

There could be a sparrow hawk in the area, so the little birds have moved elsewhere for a while.

No problem in my part of east London.

Lots of great tits and blue tits on the feeders and one goldfinch today.
