Hi All,
I found an egg, a fair while ago, but I've had in my room all this time without knowing what it is...
It is a turquoise colour, with brown spots of various sizes on it. It is about 5cm from one end to the other, (hieght), and is about 2.5cm wide. It was found in a grassy area, but something had already eaten it when I found it, as the shell is broken inwards.
Could anyone help me please?

A more detailed description of the kind of area,would be more helpful, is a pic out of the question? from your description so far it could be a jackdaw, although 5 cm would be a bit too large. |

The area it was found was a grassy area, with some forest about, and a small pond, it's hard to rememeber as it was long ago.
A more precise size is about 4.2cm, and I managed a pic. 
Sorry for the blur, my camera isn't too good on close ups!

Egg size is spot on for a carrion crow, the markings and colour can vary quite a bit. | | |
