| | | Hide and go seek Hi everyone
so im thinking all the twitches here can / should be suitable people to set me a quest lol
Basically i am in the reading / Marlow / henley area and would like a task set by all you people.
The task is simple can i have a bird species (or indeed 3 with each being of different levels of hardness to find) found in my area which i can go looking for and see if i can find it
that simple it can be any type but has to fall into these
1) nothing as simple as a Canadian goose etc
2) has to be in my area i..e a sea hawk is not going to frequent the henley lol
3) not need any special equipment to see i.e. night vision etc
Now the bird can be from any habitat and obviously i will try my best to track down and photograph said individual lol
Now lets see what you have got
im probably setting myself up for a failure but we shall see |

but we shall see lol | I wouldn't bet against Waxwings. There's a pretty big influx going down at the moment. Hang around any supermarket car park with berry bushes for a while - you might get lucky..... |

| | | Re: Hide and go seek A good task you've asked for Reefbreak. I wouldn't dismiss any of those birds as no chance. The trouble with some of them is that vthey are very mobile, so a Sparrowhawk might appear anywhere, but always worth keeping an eye open for. Likewise you might see a Jay in and around any broad leaved wooded area. Keep us updated on how well you do. Perhaps you should rate them from easiest to hardest and see how you go. Hope you have fun. |
