| | | Agressive Robin The Robin, in my garden, is very agressive and drives away other birds when there is food on the bird table.
I know Robins can be aggresive to other Robins, but not so much towards other bird species? |

| | | Re: Agressive Robin I've often seen Robins chase other small birds away from food in my garden. They particularly chase off Dunnocks but have seen them be aggressive towards Blue Tits + House Sparrows too. |

| | | Re: Agressive Robin The most aggressive bird that I've seen in my garden was a Fieldfare, during the bad weather last Winter. It took up residence for 2 weeks in one of my apple trees; I had attached hoarded apples back on to the tree for the thrushes and Blackbirds. The Fieldfare wouldn't tolerate anything of a similar size in the garden. So Blackbirds, Redwings, Song Thrushes, Starlings, and other Fieldfares were driven off immediately. It would only barely tolerate Blackcaps and finches. It probably made it through the bad weather due to this aggressive streak. |
