I took this today early in the gloom of dawn and very distant, at Lackford Lakes.
I have compared it with a much better shot of an Emperor Goose taken at Leeds Castle in Kent. It does look quite similar. I gather that there are a few escapees in the UK.

It's a hybrid that looks as though it has Emperor in it. True Emperors are much smarter looking birds than this. |
