| | | Garden Tit flock Has now reached epic proportions - 10x blue tits, 20x great tits, 20x long-tailed tits, 3x coal tits, 2 goldcrest, and now, the first in my garden for 23 years - a NUTHATCH!!
(not the greatest of pics but recognisable).

| | | Re: Garden Tit flock Did it have a Robin Robin?
That is impressive, mine is just limbering up but it has never been at those levels, however it is an interesting sight isn't it? I just wish they'd make mates with something a bit more exotic - Firecrest or Marsh Tit!

I need to put some time in the garden soon to see if I can add to my garden list.

| | | Re: Garden Tit flock Excellent news Robin. It's going to be a good winter for birds I think. I feel it in my water.

| | | Re: Garden Tit flock There's a flock which passes through my garden and the local area which has about 40 Long-tailed, plus 15 or so Blue, with a handful of Great and bits and bobs.
In Aug 2007 I saw a tit flock in a large wood that was 300 birds strong - approx 100 Long-tailed Tits, 100 Blue, 50 Great, 10 Coal, 10 Marsh, 20 Chiffchaff/Willow Warbler, and a few Nuthatch/Goldcrest. Bonkers! |

| | | Re: Garden Tit flock my blue tit flock is getting a little bigger i regularly see about 5-6 ( i know its not many compared to some) the greats, see about 2-3 , a coal tit likes the garden as a takeaway... and of course the local bully robin..
i have 2 regulars on the nuthatch front and i love them to bits... the pair of them were posing for me the other day , but i never had my camera.....
