How widespread was trichomonsis before garden feeders became so popular?.

hello GJ not sure how wide spread it was before garen bird tables feeders etc in the pigeon world trichomonas is called "canker" in birds of prey it is know as " frounce" since 2005 green and chaffinches have been know to have it othr finches and sparrows are susceptible to the disease regular cleaning of the feed stations will reduce the risk of spreading it doves and pigeons spread it by passing food to the young from ther crops and birds of preay catch by eating doves etc ther is medication for domestic birds like BOP,S and PIGEONS harder to medicate wild birds im afraid

Hello Faz, I did know about canker, some of my racing pigeons had it when I was a boy in the early 60s. I don't remember it being talked about in wild birds, so much as it is today though. thanks anyway. George.
