| | | Brambling year I have noticed Bramblings just about everywhere I've been recently which is quite unusal for me here in the sw London area. Even had one go over my back garden.
Anyone else noticing higher than normal Brambling sightings?
Cheers,
Adam |

| | | Re: Brambling year I'm a bit far west here in Wales to have seen many of the winter migrants coming from the east yet, but have seen reported on the gwent and glamorgan birding websites a few single individual brambling near here already - so I'm hopeful I'll get to see them this year! And the Waxwings |

| | | Re: Brambling year Hi,
Have seen some this year without trying. (I was actually watching a Pallas's Warbler when a small flock landed in the tree behind.)
Since then have seen a number of small flocks of them - more than usual.
Being here in North Norfolk has been good for migrants this autumn.
Cheers David. |

| | | Re: Brambling year Ive seen slightly more this year than average. So I agree its looking like a good brambling year. They have probably had a good breeding season. |

| | | Re: Brambling year there's been a lot seen around nottingham, but as with redwings and fieldfares i'm hopeless at iding them in flight, which invariably is what they will be at the moment. I can just about id a few by flight calls, but i dont have a clue how people id them by fly-bys!!! guess it comes with experience!
