| | | Re: another new visitor 2 Good to see them. I started off with an occasional visitor and after a week or so, I have loads. Last count 23 on 3 feeders. Most were youngsters, but what a great sight.
Also lots of greenfinches.
I live in the middle of Milton Keynes, so it's a big built up area.

| | Re: another new visitor 2 Until today we'd only seen 2 or 3 goldfinches for some while - but this morning there were seven on two of the hanging feeders. They completely ignore the niger seed (though this what what first attracted them several years ago) and rarely visit the black sunflower seed feeders - sunflower hearts are the big attraction. Fortunately I can buy a 25kg sack of these from a local animal supplies dealer - at a good price and less than £1 for petrol! |

| | | Re: another new visitor 2 nice one - i need to get some feeders - my new house is great for birds. in the old place i got about 15-20 speices over the whole year - i've been here for 3 months and have already seen over 20 - including long tailed tits, a woodpecker and a coal tit! the location is good for flyovers too - had swans, cormorants, geese and a buzzard.
hopefully some feeders will bring them in, rather than around, my garden.
