| | | Re: Birdwatching monocular A little late in seeing this thread. My other half has one, the Vortex Solo 8x32 with a wide field of view, cost about £80. OH likes it because it is easier to manage with a dog who usually accompanies. Dogless, bins are preferred. Any more than 8x is not good. A monocular is harder to hold still than bins. |

| | | Re: Birdwatching monocular Could someone have a word with my missus about carrying stuff please......perhaps Deb could say how worthwhile it is helping hubby's aching back...
And just what is "long eye relief"? |

Nah, on second thoughts, I know how women think....don't try this at home boys.
LOL.

| | | Re: Birdwatching monocular What's a cool name for a monocular?
For binoculars, you've got bins (which is quite high on the cool scale) and nockies (that one makes me want to cringe ).
But what can I call my monocular?

LOL. | Lads, YOU know you ARE going to be in trouble for something. So you may as well be hanged for a sheep...
Deb, how about 'Nelson' for a monocular name ? As in "What did you do with my Nelson, woman? You were carrying it!"

Ha, ha, as long as it's not rude (rinse your mind out Blizzard) I might give it a go.
