A fieldfare flock was seen at attenborough when i was down there last week - missed it though - just like the curlew i always seem to miss...

I know there have been a few birds sighted around the London area over the last 2 weeks or so + Adam mentions some at Bedfont.

Saw my first Redwings of the autum today when a flock of c35 flew south while I was in Richmond Park. Quite a lot reported through London today with c80 at Brent Res, 300 Wanstead Flats + many at other sites.

Also small numbers of other winter birds such as Brambling, Siskin, Lapland Bunting + the observers on Wormwood Scrubs had a good day with 6 Whitefronts circling before heading for the more appropriate London Wetland Centre.

I didn't worry too much . I did check 3 pages and thought my memory must be playing tricks with me. When you said about the thread I looked further back and found it on page 5 or 6... see I can't even remember what page it was on now, must be a sign of my age .

I'm still waiting for the Fieldfare and Brambling to arrive. They'd better hurry up as we've got far less Rowan berries this year although a good crop of Elderberries most of which aren't even ripe yet.
