| | | Do various types of tits (blue/great/coal/longtail) get on worse than others Afternoon all, basically there are atleast 3-4 off the greats/coals/blues nesting near (probably within yards) of the feeder and generally they get on fairly well, the odd loose chase and there were 2 days recently when a coal tit and a blue tit went after each other (flying spiraling attack) but apart form the odd your invading my personal space peck nothing.
Over the weekend a pair off long tailed tits visited - though they were here years ago - and they were invited to leave by the locals.... are the locals getting too close/ownery off the feeder? |

| | | Re: Do various types of tits (blue/great/coal/longtail) get on worse than others I've noticed that in the mixed flocks that do a tour of the garden feeders, the long-tailed tits are still the most vocal. I hardly hear a peep from the great tits and blue tits. They don't seem to argue at all - just eat everything that's put out for them, listen to the blackbird's alarm call for cats, make my day, and move on. |

the only squabble i get is when the robin comes down and scares of the odd blue tit, but in general the tits get on in my garden... | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
