| | | House Martins still about... Saw around 20 of these birds over Bridgnorth, Shropshire this afternoon, October 3rd. Many other sightings around the U.K?
Maybe these birds were passing through from the North? |

| | | Re: House Martins still about... I was fishing ,late morning yesterday and I was watching a group of around ten House Martins feeding in what was a very sheltered area. When I was there last week there were around fifty birds.Could be that these I saw yesterday were part of last weeks group ! ! I was about ten miles north of Forfar in Angus at the time.................Dennis. |

| | | Re: House Martins still about... I think I saw some this morning in East London. I didn't have binoculars with me and only saw the sillhouettes, not the markings. They had the same shape of wing as a swallow, house martin or swift. They also had a darting flight, with swooping and folding of the wings after rapid flapping. Their tails seemed wedge-like, though. They were about half the size of a pigeon, if that. |
