Swallows still about

I saw some Swallows today, over a field in Shropshire, any other sitings about the U.K

Saw some today sorry just noticed the time (yesterday now) in West Wales, seem to be late departing this year, or is it me?

Many breeding Swallows will now have left, but few pairs may still be feeding late broods. Passage birds will also still be moving through the UK, with sightings possible in most areas until at least mid-October (and a few lingering into November in southern counties).

It just must be me then, I've never really notced them this late. Probably not really been looking in the past. Just out of interest though the earliest I've seen them in the year is April 4th this being when I lived in Dorset and here in Wales.

Very very occasionally some actually overwinter.

I saw some yesterday heading south (I am in the south) presumably to passport control and beyond.
