| | | Almost beating my record (Pica Pica) When I was university although I wasn't birdwatching (although I have always has an interest) I was struck by a flock of 17 (might have been 19 my memory is not what it was) Magpies on the playing fields (this was the old Manchester Racecourse) as I was playing football. It was particularly interesting as I ran out of song - one for sorrow etc.
I have noticed around the RobS LNR lately a growing number of Magpies and today whilst doing some blatant birdwatching from the back garden I counted 15 in the same fir tree.
Had I had a shotgun I could have got many of them with one cartridge!
They are cheeky monkeys, I think I quite like them really.

Rats are Rats
Squirrels are Rats with tails
Wood Pigeons are Rats with Marketing.
The only thing I like about Wood Pigeons is their meat.
