Red Kites over Stokenchurch

Visited the area today and saw plenty of red kites- especially over the village itself. I have read that it is quite rare to spot them in trees, but i saw one at the top of a tree for about 45 minutes making it's occasional whistling call. Also one kite was being followed and annoyed by a crow- i don't know why they do this. They call all the time- you hear them everywhere. I hope they spread over into North Herts !!

Crows often mob birds of prey, for example Buzzards in particular, either to defend their 'patch', or to try to get the Raptor to drop their 'meal' for the crows to eat itself!

They see them as a threat ringo and I have see them in north herts Not sure about breeding.
