Golden Plovers

Another sign of Winter approaching, I love to see the huge flocks of these birds but a mere 26 at my local res. today.

I'm the other way round, my sign of Winter approaching is when they're not here any more

yes i must say autumn comes 1st, and with conkers falling, and berries ripe, lets enjoy that 1st, but nice to see the golden plovers , rossy.

True, there was a large flock near here up until the snows came last December.
