Now they are as common as muck! Today I had eight in my garden. Was I bored? No! They are just as interesting now as they were in the 1960s when they were relatively rare.
I saw my first Little Egret on the WWT 100 acre field some years ago and have them regularly since then. Am I bored? Certainly not! If I saw one on my roof I would be over the moon! It is most unusual for Little Egrets to visit gardens and built up areas.
I hope I haven't bored you.

leighton moss are getting reduced numbers at their roost of an evening only about 80 birds turning up.
