Chris | If they have they must be super-duper Empidonax bods cos, according to my Yank bird book willow and alder are inseparable by plumage alone - the song is only a bit different too.
Location location location - was it on brushy mountain slopes or on alder swamps????? In Norfolk? teee hee.
Seriously, its always impressive when these things are found - a lifetimes searching for some.

Was going to go to blakeny point to see the flycatcher but the forty MPH winds and heavy rain squalls put me off a bit!
Good luck to those who went up the point. A 3 mile hike there and then back on a gravel bank in those conditions didn't seem like fun! |
