| | | Re: Cambridgshire Goshawk? Possibly it is. Very fine barring on the wings. Crucifix shape. Much slower wing beats and a lot heavier than a Sparrowhawk, I reckon. But I think you'd need a size comparison with a Carrion Crow or a Raven to clinch it.

| | | Re: Cambridgshire Goshawk? I reckon this is a Skyhawk, as opposed to a Goshawk. The shape of the wings, the short neck and head and the slender body and tail are generally good pointers, as is the general jizz. I would reckon a 2004 bird |

When I saw the title of this thread bearing your name I clicked on it in eager anticipation, thinking I may have missed a local sighting

I did think of you when I posted the thread - I imagined getting your hide out for a 24 hour watch.

Rob S | A mate of mine was an acrobatic pilot - several very strong and unpleasant memories spring to mind, in Cessnas and once in a Chipmonk (even more sh1te than Cessnas!) - barrel rolls, loops, spins and yep, me his backseat driver spending far too much time chuffing up behind the hangers on our returns to the field. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
