| | | Marsh Harriers in Weymouth Hello all
Last year a pair of Marsh Harriers bred for the first time in 50 years in Weymouth Dorset raising three chicks.
This year they have successfully bred again and two chicks have fledged. This despite their chosen nest site being close to the works for the new relief road.
I am not familier enough with the bird to know whether this is an adult or a juvenile but I am sure someone will be able to tell me
Sorry the picture quality is not great but the bird was pretty much at the extreme range of my camera.

| | | Re: Marsh Harriers in Weymouth Sorry to have to point this out, but the bird in both your images is a hovering Kestrel. |

| | | Re: Marsh Harriers in Weymouth I am really embarrased to be told that if anyone searches for "Marsh Harriers Weymouth" on Google my miss-identification of the Kestral comes up in third place
So I have spent a lot of time searching the skies, in between work and the downpours, and finally managed to get this.
Hopefully I got it right this time
