| | | hobby Do hobby breed in north herts I ask this because last year two adult birds kept flying back and forth over the wood where I was feeding large fledglings, I was too busy at the time watching my hawks to check it out, I did have a quick look around but could not find any sort of nest any where, this was in mid aug. | | | Re: hobby I couldn't give precise locations, but they are pretty widespread in the county. Where I live in west London/Middx I see Hobby as regularly as Kestrel at certain times of the year. Definitely as species that seems to be on the increase. |

| | | Re: hobby around late august to this time of year, a lot more start to be seen. there's lots around here at the moment (though not for long) but as these numbers increase at this time it is often due to juveniles boosting their numbers.
