| | Duck Identity Hi, can anyone tell which baby duck my profile pic is please? We found it in poor health at Wickstead Park in Kettering and reported it to staff, but i don't know what duck it is, would appriciate any feedback, Thanks Sue |

I don't think it's a duck. The pic is not ideal for identification but my best guess would be a grebe, possibly a little grebe, aka dabchick.

EDIT: I wasn't at all confident of that ID to start with and am getting less confident by the minute! Do you have a larger version of that pic you could post and any others from different angles?

| | | Re: Duck Identity Thanks for info, I do not have any other photos of this bird as like I said it was quite poorly and just stayed still with it's head under wing, my son saw its face for just a second and said that it had a long greyish beak not like a normal duck, which made us curious as to what it was. I do have pic in original large format but that's the only photo i have, Sue |
